Hello! My name is Kai Solik. If you're reading this, I assume you're either considering hiring me or just curious to check out some of my design work. Whatever the reason — thanks for making it this far!
I'm a graduating senior at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earning a B.A. in Art: Graphic Design and a certificate in Computer Science. While I’m still young and technically a student, I’ve spent my entire undergrad career focused on one goal: becoming a UX Designer. Over the past few years, I’ve been working hard to sharpen my skills — always excited and eager to learn whatever it takes to become the best at what I do.
Beyond my coursework, I’ve worked independently as a freelance designer to gain real-world experience. I’ve also taken online courses to strengthen not just my design skills, but my coding abilities as well.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always had two passions — and one obvious talent. My love and talent for drawing gave me a creative mindset early on, while my passion for technology gave me the tools to bring that creativity into the digital world. I designed this portfolio to reflect both sides of my brain — the artist and the tech nerd — so you can get a sense of the kind of designer I am. Thanks again for being here, and I hope you enjoy exploring my work.
